Hello, my name is Shukri Bashir and welcome to my efolio. I am currently a third year student at Concordia University St. Paul. My major and licensure is Pre Primary from K-6. Throughtout my college years I developed a strong passion towards teacher young children. I believe that the early years are when someone is most impressionable, their ideas are shaped and that is the time that educators play the most influential role in a child's education. At that time, it is the duty of the teacher to make sure that there is comprehension, that the students are learning what is necessary for their crucial development of ideas, and most people I know say that their early childhood educators are the ones that they remember most, the ones that impacted them greatly. Young children are vulnerable and they need to be taught with special care and sensitivity. My motivation stems from my desire to help shape the lives of our younger generations, to serve as not only their teacher, but their friend as well as their mentor.
